PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
On behalf of the Argenteuil Agricultural Society, it is my privilege and honour to welcome you to the 188th Expo Lachute Fair.
I would like to thank the members of the Executive and Board of Directors for their year-long commitment and many hours of decision-making. I would also like to thank our sponsors and volunteers for all their funding and support throughout the year. Also, special thanks to MAPAQ, (ministère d’agriculture, pêcheries et alimentation du Québec ) for their funding. Without these people we would not be able to continue.
The Lachute Fair brings the agricultural communities together to provide education and awareness within our community. We have a long and rich history to be very proud of. This year we will be promoting education throughout our fair.
If you are a first time visitor to our fair, you will enjoy yourself so much that this will become an annual event for you. The Lachute Fair brings families together. Whether you are young or old, there is something for you to see and do.
As you walk around our fairgrounds this year, make time to visit our handicraft exhibits; visit the cattle and horse barns or poultry and petting zoo to meet the livestock that are both the livelihood and passion of our farmers. Also don’t forget to see the 4H shows, tractor pulls, farm machinery displays, heavy horse and light horse competitions. As you can see, we love agriculture. We do have many other attractions at our fair such as our demolition derby, midway rides , live entertainment and much more!
To all of our agricultural exhibitors, we welcome you and wish you good luck in your respective competitions. We appreciate your dedication and commitment to our fair.
